Both the poem and art are not about death at all, but rather letting go of the past and the pain, moving on and finding peace in your heart. Inspired by the movie The Crow - City Of Angels, and this quote: 'I believe there is a place where souls wander, burdened by the weight of their own sadness, waiting for a chance to set the wrong things right. Sometimes, a crow shows them the way, because sometimes, love is stronger than death.' ~ Sarah

Let The Ravens Come

Let the ravens come
I can't do it anymore
I can't wait here forever
Listening always for the door

I can't bear this sorrow
I've breathed it every day
And it will be the death of me
If I can't walk away

Let the ravens come
And take me from the dark
I need to find my peace, and chase
The winter from my heart

I will always wish for
Your whisper on the wind
A part of me will love you
With what love is left within

But I can't wait here forever
With my whole world undone
I've cried more than I can stand
So let the ravens come
